⁴³ Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. Lev 19, 18. Mat 22, 39. Mar 12, 31. Jas 2, 8. Rom 13, 9.
⁴⁴ But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Luk 6, 27. Luk 23, 34. Act 7, 60. 1Co 4, 12.
⁴⁵ That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Luk 6, 35.
⁴⁶ For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
⁴⁷ And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
⁴⁸ Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

²⁰ The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
²¹ Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

³⁶ Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
³⁷ Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Deu 6, 5. Mic 6, 8. Mar 12, 30. Luk 10, 27.
³⁸ This is the first and great commandment.
³⁹ And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Lev 19, 18. Mat 5, 43. Mar 12, 31.
⁴⁰ On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

²⁸ And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. Lev 18, 5.
²⁹ But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
³⁰ And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
³¹ And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. Act 10, 28.
³² And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
³³ But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
³⁴ And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
³⁵ And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
³⁶ Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
³⁷ And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

⁷ Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. Mat 22, 21. Mar 12, 17. Luk 20, 25.
⁸ Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
⁹ For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. ¹⁰ Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

¹³ For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 1Pe 2, 16. 1Co 8, 9.
¹⁴ For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Lev 19, 18. Mat 5, 43. Mar 12, 31. Jas 2, 8. Rom 13, 8.
¹⁵ But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

⁸ If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: Lev 19, 18. Mat 5, 43.
⁹ But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. Lev 19, 15.

⁵ And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, ye shall offer it at your own will. Lev 3, 1.
⁶ It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the morrow: and if ought remain until the third day, it shall be burnt in the fire. Lev 7, 16-17.
⁷ And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable; it shall not be accepted. Lev 7, 18.
⁸ Therefore every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the hallowed thing of the LORD: and that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Gen 17, 14.
⁹ And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest. Lev 23, 22. Deu 24, 19.
¹⁰ And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the LORD.
