Theotokos. Icon. Panachranta![]() Panachranta is a type of icon in the Eastern Orthodox Church, that refers to the all immaculate Virgin Mary, the Theotokos. Icon. EnthronedThe “Enthroned” or “Reigning” Icon (shows the Theotokos seated on a throne with Her Son) belongs to the Panachranta type. The “Enthroned” (or “Reigning”) Icon of the Mother of God appeared on March 2 (15), 1917, in the village of Kolomenskoye near Moscow, Russia. March 2 (15), 1917 is the date of Tsar Nicholas II’s abdication. See also
