Bible. Friend of God

Abraham

20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Gen 22, 9. Heb 11, 17.
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Gen 15, 6. 2Ch 20, 7. Isa 41, 8. Rom 4, 3. Gal 3, 6.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? Jos 2, 1. Heb 11, 31.
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Moses

9 And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses. Deu 31, 15.
10 And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.
11 And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. Num 12, 7-8. Deu 34, 10. Srh 45, 3.

John the Baptist

28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. Jhn 1, 20. Act 13, 25.
29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. Mat 22, 2. Eph 5, 25, 27.
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

Apostles

9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Jhn 13, 34. 1Jo 3, 11. 1Jo 4, 21. Eph 5, 2. 1Th 4, 9.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Eph 1, 9. Eph 3, 5.
