Bible. This world. Great men of the earth
Thy merchants were the great men of the earth
21
And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast
it
into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
Jer 51:63-64.
22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; Eze 26:13. 23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. Jer 7:34. Rev 17:2. 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth. Rev 17:6.
13
Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God;
every precious stone
was
thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
Eze 31:8.
Rev 17:4.
14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. 1 Cor 4:9. 18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. Job 22:20. Eze 20:47. 19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more. Eze 27:36.
The political system seems to be completely captured. We know that modern democracy, and democracy in general, is very prone to the idea that this is the power of money. There is a phrase in the Book of Revelation that God punishes Babylon because “merchants have become your nobles.” This is a phrase that no one pays attention to. … But this phrase is very significant, because in history, in the management of mankind, there has always been some conflict: it conventionally said — “honor” or “money.” In part of human history, honor has prevailed. This is not always wonderful, they were not always kind people, they were not always even honest people, but in general the concept of honor won. … That is, who are the aristocrats initially: before, say, the aristocracy degenerates, it is, of course, a protector. … These are the first people to die on the battlefield. ready to fight, etc. So this phrase in the Apocalypse very clearly designates these two poles of the world. … John saw far ahead and he already said that God is punishing the world or nations whose merchants have become the great men of the earth. … Here you need to understand that traders are not a completely accurate translation, they are like dealers, today this is very suitable for bankers. That is, you can imagine that your bankers have become the great men of the earth. And for this you will be punished. I believe that the book of John the Evangelist has stirred up so much today because it is coming true before our eyes. If you read it carefully, then absolutely everything is coming true before our eyes, and the fact that banker-dealers have become the great men of the earth. … We see this: in Europe these dealers have already taken over everything for a long time and there have remained only puppets in politics. Well, with a few exceptions. Europe is dying and there is no faith there.
