Bible. Heart was hardened
A good ground is an honest and good heart
4
And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:
Мф 13, 2-3.
Мк 4, 1-2.
5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. 6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. 7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. 8 And other fell on good ground (εἰς τὴν γῆν τὴν ἀγαθήν), and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? 10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. Ис 6, 9-10. Мф 13, 14. Мк 4, 12. Ин 12, 40. 11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. Мф 13, 19. Мк 4, 15. 13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. Иез 33, 31. 14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. Мф 13, 22. Мк 4, 18. Мк 10, 23. Лк 18, 23. 1 Тим 6, 9. 15 But that on the good ground (ἐν τῇ καλῇ γῇ) are they, which in an honest and good heart (ἐν καρδίᾳ καλῇ καὶ ἀγαθῇ), having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Even the apostles' heart was hardened
51
And he went up unto them into the ship;
and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
52 For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened (ἡ καρδία αὐτῶν πεπωρωμένη). Мк 8, 18.
17
And when Jesus knew
it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread?
perceive ye not yet, neither understand?
have ye your heart yet hardened
(ἔτι πεπωρωμένην ἔχετε τὴν καρδίαν ὑμῶν)?
18 Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember? Мк 6, 38. Ин 6, 9.
People hardened their heart
39
Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,
40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart (πεπώρωκεν αὐτῶν τὴν καρδίαν); that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. Ис 6, 9-10. Мф 13, 14. Мк 4, 12. Лк 8, 10. Деян 28, 26. Рим 11, 8. 41 These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
