² And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer (Θάρσει τέκνον); thy sins be forgiven thee. Mar 2, 3. Luk 5, 18.

²⁰ And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: Mar 5, 25.
²¹ For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
²² But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said Daughter, be of good comfort (Θάρσει θύγατερ); thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

⁴⁶ And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
⁴⁷ And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
⁴⁸ And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort (Θάρσει, θύγατερ): thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

⁴⁶ And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. Mat 20, 29.
⁴⁷ And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
⁴⁸ And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
⁴⁹ And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort (Θάρσει), rise; he calleth thee.
⁵⁰ And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
⁵¹ And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
⁵² And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

²⁴ But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.
²⁵ And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
²⁶ And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
²⁷ But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer (Θαρσεῖτε); it is I; be not afraid.
And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
²⁹ And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
³⁰ But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
³¹ And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
³² And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

⁴⁷ And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land. Jhn 6, 16.
⁴⁸ And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.
⁴⁹ But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
⁵⁰ For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer (Θαρσεῖτε): it is I; be not afraid.
⁵¹ And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.

³² Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. Mat 26, 31. Mar 14, 27.
³³ These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer (θαρσεῖτε); I have overcome the world. 1Jo 4, 4. 1Jo 5, 4. 1Co 15, 57.

⁶ But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question. Act 24, 21. Phl 3, 5.
⁷ And when he had so said, there arose a dissension between the Pharisees and the Sadducees: and the multitude was divided.
⁸ For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both. Mat 22, 23. Mar 12, 18. Luk 20, 27.
⁹ And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees' part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God. Act 25, 25.
¹⁰ And when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle.
¹¹ And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul (Θάρσει Παῦλε): for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome. Act 18, 9. Act 19, 21.
