The Beast Conquers the People of God

It was given unto the beast to overcome the saints

2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. Dan 7:8. Dan 11:36.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. Dan 7:21. Rev 11:7.

The Revelation of John the Theologian tells us that the beast 666 conquers the saints, i.e. the people of God, the Church of Christ, Christians.

We Christians understand that “Israel of God,” “holy people,” “people of the saints of the Most High,” and finally, simply “saints,” are all Biblical names for the historical Church of Christ.

It should be noted that the beast 666 is the one who defeats the People of God. As a result of this victory, the People of God become slaves of the beast 666, because according to the word of the apostle: “of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage” (2 Peter 2:19).

As a result of this victory, “power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations” (Rev 13:7).

When he shall have accomplished
to scatter the power of the holy people

7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. Rev 10:5-6.

24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. Rev 12:3. Rev 17:12.
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. Dan 11:36. Rev 12:14.

… until the moment at which the enemy of the Church brings the People of God to complete exhaustion, according to the prophet Daniel (7:25, 12:7) and to complete mortification, according to the Apocalypse of John (13:15). But this mortification has nothing in common with the death by which the Apostles and martyrs glorified God (John 21:19). “For since they possessed Thy strength, they cast down the tyrants and wholly destroyed the demons' strengthless presumption.”

Inattention to the guiding ministry of the Mother of God

The absolute inattention to the guiding ministry of the Mother of God ‹…› is a symptom of a deadly disorder of the ecclesio- and eschatological consciousness, which in the corresponding biblical prophecies is predicted as the defeat of the saints from the “seed of the serpent” (see: Dan 7:21; Rev 13:7) with the most serious consequences of this defeat for the people of God (see: Dan 12:7; Rev 13:15).

Partakers of Christ, if we hold
the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end

“And it was given unto him [to the beast from the sea] to make war with the saints, and to overcome them” (Rev 13:7). Why does the beast defeat us? For we have gone astray in heart, and the heart within us has become deceitful and unfaithful, and we have departed from following the living God; therefore we do not enter His rest (Heb 3:12), where we are invincible.

10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) Psa 95:7-11. Num 14:23. Heb 4:11.
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 1 Thess 5:11.
14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; 2 Peter 1:4. Rom 8:17. Eph 5:30.

The Virgin Mary warns us about apostasy in the Church

Cardinal Oddi:

It [the Third Secret] has nothing to do with Gorbachev. The Blessed Virgin was alerting us against the apostasy in the Church.

Apostasy in the Church will begin at the top

In the Third Secret it is foretold, among other things, that the great apostasy in the Church will begin at the top.

Serious pastoral negligence on the part
of high-ranking members of the hierarchy

Moreover, how are we to understand Lucy’s great difficulty in writing the final part of the Secret when she has already written other things that were extremely difficult to put down? Had it been merely a matter of prophesying new and severe punishments, Sister Lucy would not have experienced difficulties so great that a special intervention from Heaven was needed to overcome them. ‹…› But, if it were a matter of internal strife within the Church and of serious pastoral negligence on the part of high-ranking members of the hierarchy, we can understand how Lucy experienced a repugnance that was almost impossible to overcome by natural means.
