Lord returns to Zion Category: Bible Bible. Wrath of God

Bible. Redemption

14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. Mat 10, 24. Luk 6, 40. Jhn 15, 20.
17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many (λύτρον ἀντὶ πολλῶν). Mat 26, 28. Jhn 11, 51. Phl 2, 7-8.

42 But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.
43 But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:
44 And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. Mar 9, 35.
45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many (λύτρον ἀντὶ πολλῶν). Jhn 13, 15. 1Pe 5, 3. Phl 2, 7.

24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you (ἐν τοῖς παθήμασιν ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν), and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: Rom 5, 3.

We cannot rise by themself

We need God's help: “if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be” (Ecc 11:3).

3 If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.
