Don Umberto Maria Pasquale (a Salesian)
was in contact with Sister Lucy by letter since 1939, and he preserved in his archives 157 letters from her, as yet unpublished. In 1978 Father Umberto had interview with Sister Lucia about the consecration of Russia. This interview was published on May 12, 1982 in
L'Osservatore Romano, the
"semi-official"
newspaper of the Holy See.
Don Pasquale was the director of Blessed Alexandrina Maria da Costa, paralyzed seer from Balasar, Portugal, from 1944 until her death and wrote her biography.
