The enmity between the serpent and the woman
and between the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman

From the time when the ancestors disobeyed the Creator the enmity between the serpent and the woman and between the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman, the battle, (Gen.3:15) determines the history of mankind.

14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: Psa.72:9.
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed (τοῦ σπέρματός σου) and her seed (τοῦ σπέρματος αὐτῆς); it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Gen.14,18. Psa.112:1,2,4.

We wrestle against spiritual wickedness
in the heavenly places

We wrestle against principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places

Contest for imperishable reward. Compete to win.

24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.
25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 2

Acquire spiritual gifts.

1 Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.

Little horn is mighty but not by his own power

8 Therefore the male goat grew very great; but when he became strong, the large horn was broken, and in place of it four notable ones came up toward the four winds of heaven.
9 And out of one of them came a little horn which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the Glorious Land.
10 And it grew up to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the ground, and trampled them.
11 He even exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host; and by him the daily sacrifices were taken away, and the place of His sanctuary was cast down.
12 Because of transgression, an army was given over to the horn to oppose the daily sacrifices; and he cast truth down to the ground. He did all this and prospered (וְעָשְׂתָה וְהִצְלִֽיחָה׃).

21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.
22 Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.
23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise (וְהִצְלִיחַ וְעָשָׂה), and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power (την δυναμιν αυτου), and his seat (τον θρονον αυτου), and great authority (εξουσιαν μεγαλην).

6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God (εις βλασφημιαν προς τον θεον), to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

Praise the LORD, all you nations

The LORD is the Almighty

1 O praise the LORD (הַֽלְלוּ אֶת־יְהוָה), all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.
2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.

31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 1
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD (יְהֹוָה) appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty (שַׁדַּי) God (אֵל); walk before me, and be thou perfect.
