Bible. Heritage of the LordThe LORD of hosts shall bless the midst of the land, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people (ὁ λαός), and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance (ἡ κληρονομία).

In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria,
even
a blessing in the midst
25 Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance The inheritance of the Lord that was scattered among the nations.

For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel (וְנַחֲלָתִי יִשְׂרָאֵל), whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. Zep 3, 8. 2Ch 20, 26. Jer 25, 31. 3 And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.

Troparion of the Holy Cross
We invoke the blessing of the Lord on His
people
O Lord, save your people, and bless your inheritance! Grant victory to the Orthodox Christians over their adversaries, and by virtue of your cross, preserve your habitation.
Save, O Lord, Your people and bless Your inheritance; grant victory to the faithful over their adversaries. And protect Your commonwealth, by the power of Your Cross.
Save, O Lord, Your people and bless Your inheritance, grant now unto the faithful victory over adversaries, and by Your Cross You do preserve Your commonwealth.
O Lord, save Your people, / and bless Your inheritance. / Grant victories to the Orthodox Christians / over their adversaries. / And by virtue of Your Cross, / preserve Your habitation.
