Bring forth children sorrowfully
16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow (עֵצֶב H6089) thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. 1Co 14,34.
Shall He bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth
Before she travailed, she brought forth. Who hath seen such things?
7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. Isa 54, 1; Isa 60, 4.
9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth (הַאֲנִי אַשְׁבִּיר וְלֹא אֹולִיד)? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God. Jer 3, 19.
10 Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her: Isa 61, 2-3; Luk 6, 21.
11 That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory. Isa 60, 16.
12 For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees. Isa 60, 4.
13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
14 And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies. Isa 35, 10; Isa 51, 11; Jhn 16, 22.
15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. Psa 50, 3; 2Th 1, 8.
He give them up, until the time
1 Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.
2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Mat 2, 5-6; Jhn 7, 42.
3 Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth (יֹולֵדָה יָלָדָה H3205): then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. Isa 7, 14; Rev 12, 2; Rom 9, 5.
4 And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.
5 And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. Jer 50, 41.
6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.
7 And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men. Psa 105, 12-13.
8 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
