About Rosary. Pope John Paul I

The Rosary is a form of family liturgy

The Rosary — even if it should be shortened and adapted — recited in the evening by the parents together with the children, is a form of family liturgy.

Albino Cardinal Luciani (Pope John Paul I 1912-1978)

The Rosary expresses the faith

The Rosary expresses the faith without false complications, without evasion, without lots of words; it helps us to abandon ourselves to God's will and to learn the generous acceptance of suffering. God even uses theologians; but, in order to distribute His grace, He uses, above all, the littleness of the humble and those who abandon themselves to His Will.

Albino Cardinal Luciani (Pope John Paul I 1912-1978)

The Rosary… helps me to be a child again

Personally, when I speak alone with God and with Our Lady, more than as a grown-up, I prefer to feel myself a child; the mitre, the zuchetto, and the ring all disappear. I send the grown-up on vacation, and even the Bishop along with all the grave dignity and ponderousness due to his rank! And I abandon myself to the spontaneous tenderness that a child has for his mamma and papa. … The Rosary, a simple and easy prayer, helps me to be a child again, and I am not ashamed of it at all.

Albino Cardinal Luciani (Pope John Paul I 1912-1978)
