2. Moreover, capitalism as such, and not just its liberal variety. Capitalism is like serving mammon, like worshiping the dollar instead of God. Capitalism as a perverted mode of existence of society. For he atomizes society, breeding egoists, and gives rise to injustice, and corrupts the people, and kills faith. But the Lord said: “You cannot serve God and mammon,” and therefore the "Orthodox capitalism" put forward by some is an anti-Christian thing.

3. We must counter all this with our own alternative, our own Orthodox way of life, our own social system, which I call Orthodox socialism. What it is? This is a system where the economy is of the Soviet (or rather, Stalinist) type, with public ownership of the means of production. And the ideology (and after all, no society is possible without ideology) is Orthodox, based on faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and Christian values. The goal of such a dispensation of life is not in the acquisition of a prosperous, comfortable life on earth, but in a conciliar approach to God, the salvation of not a “little flock”, but many, the salvation of the Russian people.

4. Note that we do not need an economy of a mixed type, not a mixture of private and public property. No, only the dominance of public property, only a non-market, planned economy can put a barrier to mammon and withstand confrontation with the West, without which the existence of Russia is unthinkable.

5. Contrary to popular belief, this is just not a utopia, because both components of Orthodox socialism are perfectly combined with each other. In fact, communism is a genuinely Christian idea. It is consecrated by Holy Scripture (let us recall the life of the Jerusalem community described in the Acts of the Apostles), patristic tradition, and Russian history, both ecclesiastical (communal monasteries) and secular.
