Church. The process of canonization of the New Martyrs is suspendedClosing of the archives did not happen without Providence of GodCareful verification of materials on repressed clergy and laity in litigation has become basically impossible. <…> And it seems impossible today to return to the previous legislative norm and make all information publicly available again. Because not only our state does not want this, but our society. <…> To justify the closure of archives, both society and the state today use such a vague, in my opinion, concept as “personal information”. In fact, people today do not want to understand their history. They want to see in history not real people, but only some epic heroes… In this sense, our people are still oriented towards Soviet ideals. Today our society is turning away from the truth, because the truth involves inner suffering. Truth must be experienced, and for this it is necessary to be capable of repentance. Therefore, the closure of the archives in our country, of course, did not happen without the Providence of God. After all, in order to understand history, you must first understand yourself. Otherwise, we will simply perish under the weight of passions, delusions and external deceptions.
