Bible. Nations (גוי)(εθνος)

Great nation

1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: Act 7, 3.
2 And I will make of thee a great nation (לְגֹוי גָּדֹול)(εἰς ἔθνος μέγα), and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. Gen 12, 7. Gen 24, 40. Gen 48, 15.
2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. Gen 12, 2.
3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations (הֲמֹון גֹּויִֽם)(πλήθους ἐθνῶν). Srh 44, 19-20. Rom 4, 17.
5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee (אַב־הֲמֹון גֹּויִם)(πατέρα πολλῶν ἐθνῶν). Isa 51, 2.
6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee (לְגֹויִם)(εἰς ἔθνη), and kings shall come out of thee. Mat 1, 6.
7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. Gen 15, 18. 2Ki 13, 23. Lev 26, 12.
8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. Act 7, 8.

The times of the Gentiles

20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Dan 9, 27. Mat 24, 15. Mar 13, 14.
21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. Zec 14, 1.
23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people (τῷ λαῷ τούτῳ).
24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations (εἰς τὰ ἔθνη πάντα): and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles (ὑπὸ ἐθνῶν), until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled (ἄχρι πληρωθῶσιν καιροὶ ἐθνῶν).
Luk 21:20-24

5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles (εἰς ὁδὸν ἐθνῶν), and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Mat 15, 24.
Mat 10:5-6

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations (πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν); and then shall the end come.
Mat 24:13-14
