Bible. Home Church

1 [A Song of degrees for Solomon.] Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Притч 14, 11. 1 Кор 3, 6.

The Church in the House

19 The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house. 2Ti 4, 19.

15 Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.

1 Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,
2 And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:
3 Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus: Act 18, 2.
4 Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.
5 Likewise greet the church that is in their house... Mat 18, 20.

The House where many were gathered together praying

11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.
12 And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.

Home church hierarchy

Family structure: “the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God” (1Co 11:3).

3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God Gen 3, 16. Jhn 14, 28. Eph 5, 23.
4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. Gen 1, 26. Col 3, 10.
8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Gen 2, 21.
9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

Confess Christ to the family

The family plays a significant role in the context of "enmity between the serpent and the woman" (Gen 3:15). The confession of Christ as the Lord and God brings enmity within the family. The struggle is for the accession of Christ in the world, in the heart of man, in the family.

32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. Mar 8, 38. Luk 9, 26. Luk 12, 8.
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. 2Ti 2, 12.
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. Luk 12, 51.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. Mic 7, 6.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Luk 14, 26.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. Mat 16, 24. Mar 8, 34.
39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. Mar 8, 35. Luk 9, 24. Jhn 12, 25.
