⁵² Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. Gen 9, 6. Rev 13, 10.
⁵³ Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? Dan 7, 10.
⁵⁴ But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be? Psa 22, 1. Isa 53, 2. Dan 9, 26.
⁵⁵ In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.
⁵⁶ But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled (ἵνα πληρωθῶσιν). Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

⁴⁸ And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?
⁴⁹ I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled (ἵνα πληρωθῶσιν αἱ γραφαί). Иов 19, 13. Psa 22, 6. Psa 69, 8. Psa 88, 8. Isa 53, 12.
⁵⁰ And they all forsook him, and fled.

³¹ Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. Psa 22, 6. Mat 20, 18. Mar 10, 33.
³² For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on: Isa 53, 7.
³³ And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.
³⁴ And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

¹⁵ And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)
¹⁶ Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled (ἔδει πληρωθῆναι τὴν γραφὴν ταύτην), which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus. Psa 41, 9. Jhn 13, 18. Jhn 18, 3.
¹⁷ For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.
¹⁸ Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. Mat 27, 5.
