Sanctified in mother's womb Category: Bible Devotion/Consecration

Bible. Consecration

Consecrate to God through the word

16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth (ἁγίασον αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ ἀληθείᾳ σου): thy word is truth (ὁ λόγος ὁ σὸς ἀλήθειά ἐστιν). Psa 119, 142. Jhn 14, 6.
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. Isa 61, 1.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself (ἐγὼ ἁγιάζω ἐμαυτόν), that they also might be sanctified through the truth (ὦσιν ἡγιασμένοι ἐν ἀληθείᾳ ). Heb 9, 14.

God sanctified the seventh day

2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. Exo 20, 11. Exo 31, 17. Heb 4, 4.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified (קָדַשׁ qadash) it (ἡγίασεν αὐτήν): because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

8 Remember the sabbath day (τὴν ἡμέραν τῶν σαββάτων), to keep it holy (ἁγιάζειν αὐτήν); Exo 31, 13. Deu 5, 12. Eze 20, 12.

Sanctify unto Me — it is Mine

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Sanctify (קָדַשׁ qadash) unto me (ἁγίασόν μοι) all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, [both] of man and of beast: it [is] mine (ἐμοί ἐστιν). Exo 22, 29. Exo 34, 19. Lev 27, 26. Num 3, 13. Num 8, 17. Luk 2, 23.

30 And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate (קָדַשׁ qadash) them (ἁγιάσεις αὐτοὺς), that they may minister unto me in the priest's office. 1Jo 2:20, 27.

28 Notwithstanding no devoted (חֵרֶם cherem) thing (πᾶν δὲ ἀνάθεμα), that a man shall devote (חָרַם charam) (ὃ ἐὰν ἀναθῇ) unto the LORD of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the LORD (קֹֽדֶשׁ־קָֽדָשִׁים הוּא לַיהוָֽה) (ἅγιον ἁγίων ἔσται τῷ κυρίῳ). Num 21, 2. Jos 6, 17. 1Sa 15, 3
29 None devoted (חֵרֶם cherem) (πᾶν ὃ ἐὰν ἀνατεθῇ), which shall be devoted (חָרַם charam) of men, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death. Jos 6, 17. Jdg 11, 39.

Sanctify yourselves and be holy

7 Sanctify (קָדַשׁ qadash) yourselves (ἔσεσθε ἅγιοι) therefore, and be ye holy: for I [am] the LORD your God. Lev 11, 44. Lev 19, 2. 1Pe 1, 15-16.
8 And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I [am] the LORD which sanctify (קָדַשׁ qadash) you (ἁγιάζων ὑμᾶς).
