¹⁶ Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow (עֵצֶב H6089) thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. 1Co 14,34.

⁷ Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
⁸ Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. Isa 54, 1; Isa 60, 4.
⁹ Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth (הַאֲנִי אַשְׁבִּיר וְלֹא אֹולִיד)? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God. Jer 3, 19.
¹⁰ Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her: Isa 61, 2-3; Luk 6, 21.

¹² For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees. Isa 60, 4.
¹³ As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
¹⁴ And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies. Isa 35, 10; Isa 51, 11; Jhn 16, 22.
¹⁵ For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. Psa 50, 3; 2Th 1, 8.

¹ Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.
² But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Mat 2, 5-6; Jhn 7, 42.
³ Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth (יֹולֵדָה יָלָדָה H3205): then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. Isa 7, 14; Rev 12, 2; Rom 9, 5.
⁴ And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.
⁵ And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. Jer 50, 41.
⁶ And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.
⁷ And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men. Psa 105, 12-13.
⁸ And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
