²⁴ This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
²⁵ Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

²⁷ God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
²⁸ Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.

⁸ And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. Ин 12, 13.

¹⁰ And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?
¹¹ And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

³⁹ And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
⁴⁰ And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. Авв 2, 11.
⁴¹ And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
⁴² Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
⁴³ For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, Ис 29, 3. Иер 6, 6. Иез 21, 22. Мф 22, 7. Лк 21, 6.
⁴⁴ And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

¹² On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
¹³ Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. Мф 21, 8. Мк 11, 8. Лк 19, 36.
¹⁴ And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
¹⁵ Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt. Зах 9, 9. Ис 62, 11. Мф 21, 5.
¹⁶ These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.
¹⁷ The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.

³³ Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Мф 3, 7.
³⁴ Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: 2 Пар 36, 15-16. Лк 11, 49.

³⁶ Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
³⁷ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Втор 32, 11-12. Лк 13, 34.
³⁸ Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. Лк 13, 35.
³⁹ For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. Пс 117, 26. Мф 21, 9.

³⁴ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! Мф 23, 37.
³⁵ Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
